The Nanny Angel Network is a registered charity and the only organization of its kind in Canada. We have been providing free, specialized childcare support and programs to families living with cancer since 2009.

Three main goals that drive everything we do:

  1. Provide specialized, Child Life-informed childcare support and programs for parents with cancer to give them the time they need to take care of themselves and reduce existing social support burn-out.
  2. Build resiliency in children by teaching life-long coping skills.
  3. Provide a sense of normalcy for children during a tumultuous time in their lives.

Backed by 30 years of nanny agency experience, NAN has continued to successfully provide free resources for cancer patients and their families for over a decade.

We support families at any point during the cancer journey. We’re there from the time of diagnosis, during treatment or through palliative care. We continue to support families who need help for up to a year during the bereavement period.

To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intelligent persons and the affection of children, to earn the approbation of honest critics; to appreciate beauty; to give of one’s self, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived–that is to have succeeded.
