Our low barrier social service hub provides essential services to individuals facing challenges in their lives. We offer a wide range of accessible services, including housing assistance, food security programs, mental health support, harm reduction services, financial assistance programs, medical care, and much more. Our hub is staffed by trained professionals who are committed to providing compassionate, client-centered care.

BGC Durham has provided recreational and social development programs in Durham Region since 1963. Our Club serves thousands of children and youth each year with programs that address a variety of needs in the community including aquatics, physical activity, mental health, life skills, leadership and more. We are constantly adding new programs to address arising needs – if a young person needs it, our Club can provide it. BGC Durham’s trained staff and volunteers foster a safe and supportive atmosphere where children and youth can learn, participate, grow and prepare themselves for the future.

The goal of the Nourish and Develop Foundation is connecting people to nourishing food and supportive resources. We have two main aspects - Food Services and Social Services - under which we have programs like Nourish House Food Bank, the Mobile Food Market, Community Kitchen, Food Literacy Workshops and Camps, Life Skills Workshops, System Navigation Support, and our Social Services Hub.
